"Star" Mercerized Crochet Cotton. Medium or Large Balls size 3, 5 or 10.
"Trojan" Mercerized Crochet Cotton. 66 "Gem" Mercerized Crochet Cotton size 10.
"Puritan" Mercerized Crochet Cotton. "De Luxe" Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton.

Materials Required. About 30 yds. of Thread.
1 Bone Ring.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or 11.

1st Row—Work a row of s c over the ring.
2nd Row—Ch 3, skip 2 s c, s c in next s c, repeat from beginning ending last loop in first loop.
3rd Row—Work five 4 ch loops, ch 1, turn.
4th Row—Sl st to center of loop, ch 3, popcorn st in next loop, (popcorn st, work 4 d c in same loop, slip loop off hook, insert in 1st d c made and pull loop through) * ch 2, popcorn st in next loop, repeat from * 1 d c in next loop, ch 3, turn.
5th Row—S c in next 2 ch loop, * ch 3, s c in next loop, repeat from * ch 1, turn.
6th Row—Sl st to center of ch, ch 3, popcorn st in next loop, d c in next loop, ch 2, turn, s c in top of popcorn st, * ch 2, turn, s c in s c, repeat from * until cord is desired length.
