MOTIF. With White, ch 7, join to form a ring, ch 3 (counts as 1 d c) and work 17 d c in ring, join. (18 d c)
2nd Row—Ch 3, 4 d c in same space, slip loop off hook, insert in 3rd st of ch and pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten, ch 2, 5 d c in next d c, slip loop off hook, insert in 1st d c and pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten, (popcorn st), * 1 d c in next d c, popcorn st in next d c, ch 2, popcorn st in next d c, repeat from * all around ending row with 1 d c in next d c, join in top of 1st popcorn st.
3rd Row—Sl st into loop and work 2 popcorn sts with ch 2 between in same space, 1 d c in popcorn st, 3 d c in next d c, 1 d c in next popcorn st, * 2 popcorn sts with ch 2 between in next loop, repeat from * all around ending row with the 5 d c, join break thread.
Attach Red and work 3 s c, ch 1, 3 s c in next loop, 1 s c in popcorn st, 1 s c in each of the next 5 d c, 1 s c in next popcorn st, repeat from beginning all around, join, break thread. Work 6 more motifs in same manner and sew together as illustrated for front section.
BACK SECTION. MOTIF. With White, ch 7, join to form a ring, ch 3 and work 17 d c in ring, join. (18 d c)
2nd Row—Ch 6, * 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, ch 3, repeat from * all around ending row with 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, join in 3rd st of ch 6.
3rd Row—Ch 3, * 2 d c, ch 2, 2 d c in next loop, 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, repeat from * all around ending row with 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, join, break thread.
Attach Red and work same as last row of other motifs. Work 6 more motifs in same manner and sew together as illustrated. With Red, crochet the two sections together. Starting at joining, work a popcorn st in same space, * ch 2, skip 3 sts, s c in next s c, ch 2, skip 2 sts, 3 d c in next s c, ch 2, skip 2 sts, s c in next s c, ch 2, skip 2 sts, 5 d c in 1 ch loop at corner, repeat from *, ch 2, skip 3 s c, s c in next s c, ch 2, skip 2 s c, 3 d c in next s c, ch 2, skip 2 s c, s c in next s c, ch 2, popcorn st in joining and continue in same manner all around, do not break thread, ch 18 for loop, s c in same space, turn, ch 1 and work 32 s c over loop, break thread.
