Materials Required—AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" SIX CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, ARTICLE 77
1—250 yd. Ball White will make 4—14½-inch bands. "STAR" Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Article 30, Size 30.
1—100 yd. Ball each of Green, Peach and Yellow for Flowers.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 11.
2 Small Pearl Buttons.

Band. With White, ch 41, d c in 8th st from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 sts of ch, d c in next st, repeat from * to end of ch, ch 5, turn.
2nd Row. D c in d c, * ch 2, d c in next d c, repeat from * across row, ch 5, turn.
Repeat 2nd row 74 times or for length desired, turn.
Edge. 1 s c, 3 d c, 1 s c, (shell) in 1st mesh, * 1 s c in next mesh, shell in next mesh, repeat from * around entire band, break thread. Ch 10 for button loop, and sew between 2 center shells at narrow edge.
Rose. With Peach, ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 6, d c in ring, * ch 3, d c in ring, repeat from * 3 times, ch 3, join in 3rd st of ch 6.
2nd Row. Over each loop, work 1 s c, 1 s d c, 3 d c, 1 s d c, 1 s c (s d c: thread over needle, insert in space, pull through and work off all loops at one time).
3rd Row. * Ch 5, s c in back of work between the s c of next 2 petals, repeat from * all around.
4th Row. Over each loop, work 1 s c, 1 s d c, 5 d c, 1 s d c, 1 s c, break thread.
Work 1 more Rose in Peach and 2 in Yellow.
Leaf. With Green, ch 13, s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each of the next 10 sts of ch, 3 s c in next st of ch, working on other side of ch, work 1 s c in each of the next 8 sts, ch 3, turn, picking up the back loop of st only throughout, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, 3 s c in next s c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, ch 3, turn, * 1 s c in each of the next 8 s c, 3 s c in next s c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, ch 3, turn, repeat from * 5 times, sl st in each of the next 2 s c, break thread.
Work 3 more leaves in same manner.
Sew to bands as illustrated. Sew button in position.
