Napkin Edging Pattern #8310

Make a 76-inch chain. 1st row: S c in 11th ch from hook, * ch 6, skip 4 ch, s c in next ch. Repeat from * across (there should be a multiple of 3 loops). Ch 6, turn. 2nd row: S c in 1st loop, * ch 4; 3 tr in next loop, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook; thread over and draw through all loops at once; ch 1 to fasten (a cluster). Ch 4, s c in 4th ch from hook (p); ch 1, in same loop make another cluster, p, ch 1, cluster, ch 4; s c in next loop, ch 2, p, ch 2, s c in next loop. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 3, d c at base of last loop. Fasten off.

   Cut linen 18½ inches square. Make narrow hem all around. Sew edging to linen, easing in at corners.
