Repeat from * around, sl st in 3rd st of ch-8. 4th rnd: In each sp make s c, half d c, 3 d c, half dc and s c; sl st in 1st s c (10 scallops). 5th rnd: Ch 10, * d c between next 2 scallops, ch 7. Handle … 1st row: Ch 6, d c in 4th ch from hook and in next 2 ch. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: Picking up only back loop, make d c in next 2 d c and in turning ch. Ch 3, turn. Repeat 2nd row for 2½ inches. Fasten off. Make another piece like this; do not fasten off but work across first piece; ch 3, turn. Now work across both pieces until handle measures 9 inches in all. Ch 3, turn and make 3 d c. Ch 3, turn and work to correspond with other end. Sew on handle 2 rows down on wrong side.
Starch pieces very stiff, pull into shape and allow to dry thoroughly. Trim with ribbon bows.
