Make a Blue ring like this, and sew it 1½ inches to left of 1st cross stitch made. Make necessary number of Red and Blue rings, sewing them down in alternate colors between cross stitches.

End Rings … With double strand of Black ch 7, join. Ch 2, 19 half d c in ring, join. Fasten off, leaving a 12-inch thread. Make another ring. Place rings together and tack them where they meet. Sew joined rings to one end of belt, making 3 close stitches for each. Finish other end in same way.

Cords … Using 5 strands of Green, make a chain 52 inches long. Cut chain in half. Sew end of 1 cord to wrong side of end of belt, near upper ring; make a tassel at free end. Finish other end in same way; draw each cord through adjacent upper rings, then through lower ring of opposite end. Tie in bow.
