To begin, make a chain slightly longer than the length desired, turn. 1st row: S c in 9th ch from hook, * ch 5, skip 3 ch, s c in next ch. Repeat from * across (loops should be divisible by 2, plus 1). Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: S c in 1st loop, * ch 5, s c in next loop. Repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: Sl st to center of 1st loop, * in next loop make 3 d c, ch 2, 4 d c; s c in next loop. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn. 4th row: ** S c in ch-2 sp, * ch 15, s c in same sp. Repeat from * 2 more times (3 ch-15 loops), ch 3, sl st in s c between d c groups, ch 3. Repeat from ** across, ending row with sl st in last s c. Ch 8, turn. 5th row: 3 s c in 1st ch-15 loop, * then make 3 d c, ch 2, 3 d c in next loop; 3 s c in each of next 2 loops. Repeat from * across, ending row with 3 s c in last loop.
