1st row: Ch 6, dc in 6th ch from hook. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: 3 dc in sp, ch 2, tr in same sp. Ch 5, turn. 3rd row: 3 dc in sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc. Ch 5, turn. 4th row: Dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, 3 dc in sp, ch 2, tr in same sp. Ch 5, turn. 5th row: 3 dc in sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, 2 dc in sp, dc in 3rd st of turning ch. Ch 3, turn. 6th row: Dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, 3 dc in sp, ch 2, tr in same sp. Ch 5, turn. 7th row: 3 dc in sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, 2 dc in sp, dc in next dc. Ch 3, turn. 8th row: Dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, 3 dc in sp, ch 2, tr in same sp. Ch 5, turn. 9th row: 3 dc in sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc. Ch 3, turn. Repeat 8th and 9th rows alternately for length desired, ending with the 8th row. Fasten off.

   Now work along scalloped edge as follows: 1st row: With wrong side of last row facing, attach thread to 1st dc of 6-dc group, ch 10, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook, make 2 tr where thread was attached, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), * ch 5, sc under next turning ch (at tip of scallop), ch 5, cluster in 1st dc of next ch-6 group. Repeat from * across, ending to correspond with beginning. Turn. 2nd row: 10 sc in ch-10 loop, * ch 5, 5 sc in each of next two ch-5 loops. Repeat from * across, ending with 10 sc in last ch-10 loop. Fasten off.
