Starting at narrow end with Light, ch 7. 1st row: Holding back the last loop of each dc on hook make 3 dc in 7th ch from hook, ch 1 to fasten (a 3-dc cluster made). Ch 6, turn. 2nd row: Make a cluster in fastening ch of last cluster. Ch 6, turn. Repeat 2nd row for length desired, being sure to have a multiple of 4 plus 3 dc clusters. Ch 8, turn.

SCALLOP … 1st row: Make a 3-tr cluster in each of the next 2 loops, * ch 5, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook make tr in same loop as last cluster, tr in next loop, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (joined tr's made), ch 5, 3-tr cluster in same loop as last tr, 3-tr cluster in next loop. Repeat from * across, ending with a cluster in each of last 2 loops, ch 4, tr in last loop. Ch 8, turn. 2nd row: * In top of next cluster make two 3-tr clusters with ch-5 between, ch 5, sc in top of joined tr's, ch 5. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 4, tr in 4th st of turning ch. Fasten off. 3rd row: Turn and attach Dark in top of last tr made, * ch 5, in ch-5 loop between next 2 clusters make three 3-tr clusters with ch 5 between, ch 5, sc in each of the next 2 loops. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 5, sc in 4th st of turning ch. Fasten off. 4th row: With right side of last row of clusters facing, attach Light in same place where Dark was attached, * 7 sc in loop, in each of next 2 loops make (3 sc, ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hook) twice and 3 sc; 7 sc in next loop. Repeat from * across. Fasten off.
