Fringe Pattern
Suggested pattern for Fringes
Use a fringe to decorate your cottage curtains or, a very new idea, as a valance one, two or three rows deep, at the top of your draperies. If you prefer, make your fringe in this pattern, following Fringe S-570 pattern for approximate amounts of thread.
Starting at top make a chain slightly longer than length desired. 1st row: Dc in 5th ch from hook, ch 2, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 2 tr in same place as last tr was made, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), * skip next 4 ch, in next ch make cluster, ch 2 and cluster. Repeat from * across until row is length desired, ending with 1 cluster. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: In center of first 2 clusters make tr, ch 2 and cluster; * in center of next 2 clusters make cluster, ch 2 and cluster. Repeat from * across, ending with 1 cluster in top of last cluster. Ch 3, turn. Repeat 2nd row once more. Break off.
Make a fringe in each ch-2 sp across same as for Fringe S-570 pattern.
