PLACE MAT (Make 4) … Starting at long side with plain "Knit-Cro-Sheen," make a chain 24 inches long. 1st row: Sc in 4th ch from hook, * ch 3, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * across until row measures 17 inches. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: Sc in first loop, * ch 3, sc in next loop. Repeat from * across. Ch 4, turn. Repeat 2nd row until piece measures 11 inches. Break off.

BORDER … 1st rnd: With Metallic sc closely around, making 3 sc in each corner. 2nd, 3rd and 4th rnds: Sc in each sc, making 3 sc in center sc at each corner. At end of 4th rnd, join and turn. 5th rnd: Sl st in each sc around. Join and break off.

LEAF (Make 12) … Starting at center with Metallic, ch 12 loosely. 1st rnd: Make 3 d tr in 5th ch from hook, tr in next 4 ch, dc in next ch, half dc in next ch, 3 sc in last ch; working across opposite side of starting chain make half dc in next ch, dc in next ch, tr in next 4 ch, 3 d tr in next ch. ch 4, sl st in same place as last d tr was made. 2nd rnd: Working around outer edge of leaf, sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next ch, 2 sc in next d tr, sc in next 9 sts, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in next d tr, sc in next ch, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, sl st in same place as last sl st was made. Break off.

STEM … With Metallic make a chain 1 yard long. Cut chain to pieces of desired length and fasten ends. Sew leaves and stems in place.
