Suggested pattern for Edgings
Try these edgings on bathroom, bedroom or kitchen curtains—they add a special custom-made finish. Use J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Size 30, with Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or J. & P. Coats "Knit-Cro-Sheen" with Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
Make a chain slightly longer than length desired. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, (ch 3, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch) twice; * ch 5, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch, (ch 3, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch) 3 times. Repeat from * until row is length desired, ending with 2 ch-3 loops. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Sc in first loop, ch 3, sc in next loop, * ch 3, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr make 2 tr in ch-5 loop, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); (ch 3, cluster in same loop) twice; (ch 3, sc in next loop) 3 times. Repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: Sc in first loop, * ch 5, sc in tip of next cluster, ch 5, dc in last sc made, in tip of next cluster make sc, ch 5 and sc, ch 5, dc in last sc made, ch 5, skip next sp, sc in next loop, ch 3, sc in next loop. Repeat from * across. Break off.
